The sceneries of Laua-an Municipality, Laua-an is the fourth
class municipality. It has a population of 26, 072 people.
Laua-an
celebrates its Pahinis Festival in every January. The Pahinis Festival was
awarded as one of the best tourism events in the Philippines. “Madrigas” known
as dancing that composed of different tribes from different schools. It is also
a dancing that symbolizes the importance of everyone’s beliefs and traditions.
Miss Hara de Laua-an, there’s different faces and beauty that symbolizes the
tradition and nature of the event. Every
contestants wear suitable costumes related to the tribes where they belong and
to represent the beautiful scenery of their own history.
The last
one’s a “Muscovado Sugar” came from the sugar care this is the product of
Laua-an they purchase on every year. During the event they display it on the
exhibit. This sugar was pure and tastes sweet. They also used to make “Bandi”
and “Butong-butong” that’s why Laua-an is a popular in Antique.
